Food From Our Farms: 2021 Edition

In response to ongoing uncertainty around the Covid and its variants, Local Food Hub has made the decision not to hold an in-person dinner this year. In the past, this special dinner has been an opportunity to celebrate the abundance of local food and farmers, and to enjoy an evening of community and passionate conversation. We will miss connecting with everyone in person (and enjoying an incredible meal), but we want to invite you to an alternative discussion instead – one that we are really excited about

Please join us on Thursday, October 21, for a coffee-hour conversation with Virginia Cooperative Extension Specialist Dr. Marcus Comer (also a member of the Local Food Hub Board of Directors). Dr. Comer will reflect on the effectiveness of regional and organizational work to support farms and increase food access during the pandemic. And with you, we will take a look at what’s to come. The majority of the time will be reserved for questions and discussion. Please grab a cup of coffee and join us for this brief but substantive conversation.
